The Craft

Forged by hand.
Not by algorithm.

Every Legacy hood begins as a full-scale drawing pinned to the workshop wall, drafted in a room that hasn't changed much since the 1970s. From there, sheet metal is cut, formed over hardwood bucks, and worked by hand — hammer by hammer, rivet by rivet.

We don't mass-produce. We don't outsource. And we don't hide behind marketing language — every hood is signed and dated on the interior flue by the metalsmith who built it.

Answered

Common questions.

How much does a Legacy hood cost?

Signature Series commissions begin at $8,400 and typically range $10,000–$18,000 depending on metal, size, and detail. Atelier and Heritage projects run higher. We'll give you a firm quote after your consultation.

How long does a commission take?

From consultation to installation, plan on 6–8 weeks. Rush schedules can sometimes be accommodated for an expedite fee — ask during your consultation.

Do you ship nationwide?

Yes. We white-glove crate and freight every hood to your door anywhere in the continental U.S. International commissions available on request.

Can you match a specific appliance or hardware?

Absolutely. Bring us your La Cornue, Lacanche, Wolf, BlueStar — or any custom hardware — and we'll pull matching finishes into the design.

Do you work with designers and builders?

Roughly 60% of our work is trade. We offer a designer program with net terms, sample library, and dedicated project management. Ask about it during your consultation.

What's the warranty?

25 years on materials and craftsmanship. Every hood is signed and dated on the interior and registered under your name. If anything ever goes wrong, one email brings us back.
